New Appointment in the Armed Forces

Edward Asryan has been appointed as the Deputy Chief of the Operational Department of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, following the decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia.

“Based on the proposal of the Prime Minister, in accordance with part 1 of Article 133 of the Constitution, as well as part 1 of Article 35.1 and part 1 of Article 36 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel, Edward Asryan is appointed as the Chief of the Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and as the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, relieving him of the position of Chief of the Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia,” the decree states.
