Flood Paralyzes Nakhchivan-Turkey Highway
Heavy rainfall in the Aralık district of Turkey's Igdır province, bordering Armenia, has caused flooding. Accompanied by strong winds, the storm has ripped roofs off several homes and uprooted trees. This was reported by Ermenihaber.
As a result of the flooding, the Nakhchivan-Turkey highway, which passes through the region, has been closed. Traffic has come to a standstill.
Turkey's emergency services have been working throughout the night to reopen the highway for use.
Moreover, heavy rainfall has also been recorded near Mount Ararat, which is part of Igdır province.
It is worth noting that yesterday, in Yerevan and surrounding areas, strong winds caused significant damage as well. The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that starting from 16:22, the national and regional crisis management centers received alerts about the consequences of the winds at various addresses.
