Eurovision 2021 Winner to Take Drug Test Amidst Controversy

The winner of Eurovision 2021, Italian band Måneskin's lead singer Damiano David, has announced his intention to voluntarily undergo a drug test. This statement comes in response to earlier suspicions that the singer might have used drugs during the competition, as reported by the European Broadcasting Union.

David's announcement was prompted by comments made during the scoring announcement, where he appeared to lower his head towards the table, leading many to believe he was using drugs. However, during a press conference, the singer clarified that his bandmate, Thomas Raggi, had broken a glass, and he was simply picking up the shards.

He also emphasized that he does not use drugs. The competition organizers mentioned that the group members requested a test immediately following the spread of the rumors, but it was not possible to conduct it so late in the evening. The European Broadcasting Union has also commented on the musicians' explanation, confirming that a broken glass was indeed found during the on-site inspection.
