Armenian Police Arrest Suspects in Murder Case from Georgia
On May 21, officers from the General Department of the Police of Armenia, acting on operational information, collaborated with other police units as well as investigators and representatives from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia present in Armenia.
As a result, two foreign citizens were discovered and taken into custody at the Shengavit police station located on Garegin Nzhdeh Street in Yerevan. The men, aged 29 and 31, had been wanted by Georgian law enforcement authorities since December 2019 for committing murder under aggravating circumstances and illegally acquiring, selling, storing, transporting, or carrying weapons; the measure of restraint was arrest.
They have been detained by Armenian law enforcement agencies. The relevant authorities have been notified about the discovery of these wanted individuals.
