Military expert Karen Hovhannisyan wrote on his Facebook page: “Since you do not know Turkey and Turks well, let me present a small episode from national politics, and you will be convinced of the strong foundations of national ideology in Turkey.

In Ankara, there is a district that used to be a village outside the city limits, but over time became an important area of Ankara thanks to American sociologist Daniel Lerner, who lived and worked in that village. This district is called Balgat.

Balgat is not a very large area, but it plays a significant role in the vision of Turkey’s national ideology. Almost all political parties with a national ideology are headquartered here. Not only are they all gathered here, but all the political parties with a national ideology do not pay any type of state tax. In this district, besides the political parties with national ideologies, there are also NGOs and organizations that share similar ideologies and directions.

Even the headquarters of the ruling Justice and Development Party is located here, which also benefits from this free state support.

For the parties in this district to have decent, comfortable, and spacious offices, they simply need to clearly state in their regulations that they prioritize national ideology and will not deviate from the path of creating a Greater Turkey.

When we talk about national ideology, creating similar opportunities and conditions should also be on our agenda...”
