Details Regarding the Disappearance of a Conscription Soldier in Vardenis

On May 18, at 22:10, the Ministry of Defense's N military unit contacted the Vardenis division of the National Police, reporting that at approximately 17:00 the same day, conscription soldier Private N. Mkrtchyan voluntarily left the secured area of his unit and is listed among the soldiers who have voluntarily departed from the military unit.

According to the Military Police of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, materials are being prepared regarding this fact at the Vardenis division of the Military Police. Leaving a military unit voluntarily is considered an act constituting a criminal offense, and in such cases, the press releases are not distributed to avoid interfering with the investigation process and the operational measures to locate the soldier.
