Why Lake Sevan Became the First Target of Attack

According to the newspaper 'Hraparak', 'Why did Lake Sevan become the first target of an Azerbaijani military attack, where around a thousand Azerbaijani soldiers are already stationed, despite the Prime Minister mentioning numbers around 500-600 yesterday? We also have a comparable number of troops stationed, but they are local forces.

Our sources indicate that one of the routes or corridors envisioned by the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem will not pass through Meghri, but rather through the upper regions of Syunik, near Lake Sevan. The Azerbaijani side has essentially begun the construction of this corridor and has already created a groundwork road up to Lake Sevan, hoping it will have further continuation.

Defenders from our side of the border recount that they often attempt to engage with Azerbaijani soldiers who are literally just a few meters away from them. When they ask, 'Why have you come? Leave our land,' the Azerbaijani response is, 'We do not make any decisions; we are merely following orders. You should speak to your leaders. Our presence here is the result of agreements between your and our leaders.'
