The Goal of All Opposition Forces Should Be the Defeat of Pashinyan's Government in the Upcoming Elections: Ter-Petrosyan

Former Armenian President Levon Ter-Petrosyan has made a statement which we present below.

“Given the explosive situation surrounding Armenia's borders and the spontaneous protests occurring as a result, which are actually guided by the disparate forces involved in the electoral battle, we declare: Isn’t it obvious that Azerbaijan, anticipating the inevitable downfall of Nikol Pashinyan's regime in the upcoming elections, is attempting to extract as much as possible from Armenia? Thus, since the protests are evidently weakening Nikol Pashinyan, it follows that the aforementioned forces are facilitating the implementation of Azerbaijan's plans. This, in turn, means that the organizers of the protests are motivated not by national interests, but by sheer electoral campaigning reasons.

Therefore, at this moment, the goal of all opposition forces should be not to incite internal upheaval, but to ensure the defeat of Pashinyan's government in the upcoming elections. Nothing else.”
