Our People Have Reached a Point Beyond Which There May Be the Last Sunset of Statehood: Hasratyan
The former spokesperson of the Artsakh Defense Army, Senor Hasratyan, wrote on his Facebook page: "Today, it can be definitively stated that our homeland is being destroyed not only by the random nature of Nikol and his headless entourage but also by all those who consider themselves part of the people and contribute to the treacherous plans of these scoundrels through their criminal neutrality... Life shows that such individuals are ready to take to the streets in support of 'Electric Yerevan,' 'environmental protection,' 'the rights of homosexuals,' and a series of other fictitious and externally directed 'fundamental issues' but never for the protection of the homeland that is on the brink of destruction... The conclusion from all this is a single, harsh one: our people have reached an unacceptable point beyond which there may be another, and perhaps the last, sunset of Armenian statehood... Let us remember: a nation becomes a people, and a people becomes a herd if the most important thing – the God-given ability to preserve one's identity at any cost – dies within them... Thanks to the internal scoundrels, we seem to be on the path to losing that very quality..."
