Four More People Were in the Armored Vehicle That Rolled Down a Gorge in Syunik: Investigative Committee Provides Details
In an armored vehicle that rolled down a gorge on the Sisian-Muzh road, apart from the deceased soldier, there were also three conscript soldiers and the head of the tank service of the unit. This information was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
"On May 20, 2021, at around 19:00, the MT-LB type military vehicle of the Armenian Ministry of Defense's N military unit exited the road while moving towards the deployment area and rolled approximately 100 meters down the gorge on the 15-kilometer section of the Sisian-Muzh road. As a result, the mechanic-driver, conscript soldier Arman Vahrami Hambaryan, died from the injuries he sustained. Meanwhile, three other conscript soldiers and the head of the tank service in the vehicle were taken to a military hospital with injuries," the statement mentions.
Following the incident, a criminal case has been initiated in the eighth garrison investigative department of the Military Investigative Main Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia under Part 2 of Article 377 of the RA Criminal Code (violation of rules for operating vehicles, resulting in death due to negligence). An investigation is underway. Necessary investigative and procedural actions are being undertaken to ensure a thorough, complete, and objective investigation of the incident.
