Azerbaijanis Steal Horses from Syunik's Khndzoresk Community, May Kidnap Children Tomorrow, Says Local Resident

Azerbaijanis have stolen horses from the Khndzoresk community in Syunik province. Nver Hakobjanian, a resident of Khndzoresk, spoke about the incident in an interview with Tert.am.

"The Azerbaijanis came into the village area, stole two horses and one donkey, and took them away. Today they steal horses, tomorrow they might kidnap a child," said Nver Hakobjanian.

According to him, they are currently reporting the theft to the relevant authorities and are also planning to protect themselves. "If the stolen items are not returned, we will go as a village and throw them out of their settlement. If we are not protected, we will protect ourselves. The Azerbaijanis have set up their position just 100 meters away from my window, how is that acceptable?" he added.

When asked whether the territory of the village is monitored, and how they were able to reach the area belonging to the village and commit theft, Nver Hakobjanian responded, "There is a section that is not monitored, and they come and go from there."
