Azerbaijani Soldiers Speak Armenian While Holding Guns, Gegharkunik Residents Report to Arman Tatoyan
Residents of the village of Verin Shorja in the Gegharkunik region informed Armenia's Human Rights Defender during a meeting that Azerbaijani soldiers spoke to them in Armenian while holding guns.
According to Pastinfo.am, a resident recounted to Arman Tatoyan that he urged the Azerbaijanis to leave, stating, "This is our land, not yours," to which the adversary replied, "Get in the car and leave, or I will call right now, and they will shoot you," the resident reported.
The Human Rights Defender emphasized that the school in Kut is directly under the targeting of Azerbaijani soldiers, and that the advance of Azerbaijani forces and their presence in these areas infringes on the rights of those living in border communities, particularly their right to use pastures located in their territory.
“The rights to use these pastures have been obtained by the people based on legitimate documents provided by Armenian authorities. This means that no one can dispute its legitimacy. Therefore, we will acquire these documents and will include them in our reports,” said Arman Tatoyan.
