Azerbaijani Authorities Plan to Establish State Reserve in Shushi

A new "State Reserve of Shushi" will be created in the city of Shushi, which has come under Azerbaijani control, Azerbaijani media report citing a draft law on "Shusha City, the Cultural Capital of Azerbaijan".

According to reports, "the state reserve will be managed by an authority designated by the relevant executive authority". The media adds that this authority will establish the boundaries of the protection zone in areas adjacent to the administrative borders of the city and those areas that are socially, historically, culturally, or economically connected to it, or are significant for the protection or development of the city's state reserve.
