Aliyev: We Have Declared the Liberated Territories of Artsakh as a 'Green Zone' and 'Smart City'

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has announced plans to expand cooperation with companies from the friendly country of the United Kingdom. This statement was made during a meeting with the UK's Minister of State for Exports, Graham Stuart, as reported by minval.az.

"As you know, both the United Kingdom and Azerbaijan are actively working on renewable energy sources. Recently, our minister informed me that investments are planned for solar energy production in the liberated territories. Especially considering that we have declared the liberated territories of Artsakh as a 'green zone' and a 'smart city', this will be very beneficial for us," Aliyev emphasized.

He added, "I would like to note that among the first foreign companies we have invited to work with us on the reconstruction and restoration of the territories freed from occupation, there are also British companies, and this process has already begun. The main urban plans have already been prepared, and we are in a very active phase. We intend to expand cooperation with companies in the United Kingdom, which is a friendly country for us."
