21-Year-Old Soldier Dies in Armenia
A 21-year-old soldier has died in Armenia as a result of a car accident. The information was confirmed by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
“On May 20, around 19:00, a military armored vehicle from the Ministry of Defense’s N military unit veered off the road while traveling from its permanent deployment location to operational areas and rolled approximately 100 meters into a ravine. The soldier, Arman Vahrami Hambaryan (drafted in the first group of 2020 and serving in the Yerevan Military Police), who was the mechanic-driver of the armored vehicle, succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident,” the statement reads.
An investigation is underway to clarify the details of the incident. The Ministry of Defense expresses its deepest condolences and solidarity with the family members, relatives, and comrades of Arman Hambaryan.
