Vahagn Aleksanyan Apologizes for Sharing MoD Statement

Today, I shared the first statement from the Ministry of Defense on my page, which turned out to be incorrect and was refuted hours later after double-checking. I ask for the forgiveness of all citizens. This was stated by Vahagn Aleksanyan, an MP from the 'My Step' faction in the National Assembly, on his Facebook page.

“It is no secret to anyone that in the context of the media terror being waged against Armenian society after the war, I positioned myself and continue to position myself at the forefront of the fight against this media terror, and due to this circumstance, the fact of this first misinformation shared on my page was extremely painful for me.

I want to emphasize that I will do everything possible not only to address the incident itself but also to clarify the circumstances surrounding the Ministry of Defense's first statement about it. To all the hyenas who are shamelessly reveling in both the incident and the subsequent statement, I wish a little morality. No, of course, I had no false hopes that the scoundrels who diverted the army's attention from the front line to Yerevan, calling for a coup in the capital, were genuinely saying they were beside the army, but at least I hoped that the video involving Armenian soldiers would not be turned into an electoral campaign clip. I was mistaken; they have turned it into one. Once again, I ask for everyone's forgiveness.”
