Naira Zohrabyan Resigns from Mandate and Will Not Participate in Elections

MP Naira Zohrabyan has issued a statement: “Dear compatriots,

I resign from the duties of Secretary General of the Prosperous Armenia Party and will not participate in the upcoming elections on the party’s proportional list.

During these years in the Prosperous Armenia Party, I have gained many good friends, with whom my friendship will continue. We now have the task of rescuing our statehood from the evil of this government. Only by uniting all forces that understand that Armenia and Artsakh need a program for salvation can we stop the final dismantling of our state.

I will either remain on the front lines of the struggle against this evil government, and now I will be much more decisive and free in my actions. I will either be active in the public-political life, as long as our country is occupied by those who do not love Armenians and Artsakh, and until we liberate our country from internal usurpers.

I have several proposals that I will discuss with my friends and close ones before making a final decision.

Believe me, the most important achievement of these years has not been the parliamentary mandate. It has been the thousands of people I have been able to help or guide in the right direction within my authorities, as well as my friends and colleagues, with whom we still have a long way to go for a better Armenia, which we will certainly have.

P.S. To my journalist colleagues: There will be no further comments regarding my departure from the Prosperous Armenia Party, neither today nor tomorrow. This has been an important part of my biography, to which I hold respect.”
