Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict is Over, Now It's Time to Think About the Future: Aliyev

The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is over, and now it's time to think about the future, said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

“The Second Karabakh War fundamentally changed the situation in the region. We did not cooperate with Armenia because they occupied our territories. Today, in Armenia, they realize they were wrong. The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is over, and now it’s time to think about the future,” said Aliyev at a conference on the topic of “South Caucasus: Prospects for Regional Development and Cooperation.”

Aliyev added that Azerbaijan is ready for cooperation and normalization of relations with Armenia. “We are ready to cooperate with Armenia despite all the damages caused and the 30-year occupation of our territories. But we need mutual cooperation because we are neighbors and have to learn to live side by side,” said Aliyev.
