European Parliament Adopts Resolution on Release of Armenian Prisoners of War
Moments ago, the European Parliament held a plenary session and adopted a resolution regarding the return of prisoners of war from the recent conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, with 607 votes in favor. At the last minute, an amendment was made to the resolution in support of Armenia's territorial integrity. This was announced by Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during an extraordinary session of the National Assembly.
In total, 607 lawmakers voted in favor of the document, 27 opposed, and 54 parliamentarians abstained from voting. On May 20, numerous European lawmakers called for a discussion on the topic of prisoners of war from the recent conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh during the plenary session of the European Parliament.
