Dairy and Soft Drink Production Facilities Suspended by Food Safety Authority

The inspectors of the Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia conducted monitoring operations at the production sites of "Bayandur" (Abovyan, Kotayk Province / soft drinks) and "Ara-Areg" (Lchashen, Gegharkunik Province / dairy products). This was reported by the information, consulting, and public outreach division of the Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia.

At both facilities, the requirements of sanitation and hygiene standards mandated by Armenian legislation were grossly violated. In particular, the food structure was neither designed nor constructed nor located in a manner that would allow proper care, cleanliness, and disinfection, which would prevent or minimize the transmission of airborne or cross-contamination.

The operations of the production facilities have been suspended, and a deadline has been set to rectify the violations.
