Video: Unreleased Footage of the Enemy's Assault on Berdzor on October 30, 2020
The former Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Artsakh, Arshavir Gharamyan, wrote on his Facebook page: “Today is the day of de facto reunification of Artsakh with Armenia. On May 15, 1992, the battalions of the Artsakh Self-Defense Forces and volunteer units from the Republic of Armenia pushed back the last Azerbaijani attacks towards the settlement of Zararnist (near Shushi) and launched a counter-offensive, liberating several settlements, including Lisagor, villages in the Berdadzor subregion, and the city of Berdzor (Lachin), reaching the state border of the Republic of Armenia on May 18, fulfilling the long-held dream of the Armenian people. I am proud that under my command and with the support of the boys from Berdadzor (the late Alyosha Asryan from Old Shents, Vrej Arushanyan, Levon Sargsyan, and Zoric Hakobyan), the Akhnaghbyur battalion (composed of volunteers from the villages of Akhnaghbyur, Sarushen, Khachmach, Jraghatsner, Madatashen, Moshkhmhat, and Stepanakert) actively participated in this glorious military operation along the directions of Zararnist-Lisagor-Mets Shen-Aghanus-Novostroyka-Hakari-Kornidzor-Verin Jijimli, as well as Averketan-Kirs-Kirsavan-Old Shen. Glory to all the participants, ETERNAL GLORY TO ALL FALLEN HEROES! P.S. Unreleased footage from October 30, 2020, near the village of Zaghkaberd in the Kashatagh region, showing the battle that halted the enemy's subsequent assault on Berdzor and dealt them a crushing defeat.”
