Major Car Accident in Gegharkunik: 29-Year-Old Driver Rolls Over Multiple Times in Hyundai Elantra, Ends Up Flipped on the Shore of Lake Sevan

A major car accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region on May 15. At around 17:40, Narek Ghazaryan, a 29-year-old resident of Yerevan, was driving his Hyundai Elantra with license plate 82 LR 888 along a section of the Tsovagyugh-Shorja-Vardenis highway, approximately 3.6 km from Tsovagyugh, when he veered off the road. The vehicle rolled over multiple times and ended up flipped near the shore of Lake Sevan.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver, N. Ghazaryan, sustained injuries and was transported to the 'Sevan' Medical Center. Officers from the 1st platoon of the 4th company of the 2nd division of the Road Police arrived at the scene, led by Platoon Commander Edgar Suslyan. The investigative work at the site was headed by the investigator from the same platoon, who is preparing relevant materials regarding the incident.
