Pedestrian Accident in Yerevan: Dodge Hits 3 Pedestrians in Front of 'Hayastan' Supermarket, 4 Injured
Today, on May 16, a pedestrian accident occurred in Yerevan. Shamshyan.com reports that around 18:15, on Hrachya Kochar Street, in front of the 'Hayastan' supermarket, a Dodge vehicle hit three pedestrians crossing the street illegally.
Following the collision, the Dodge also crashed into a parked Mercedes T-65 and Toyota Camry on the permitted section of the road.
Assistance was first provided to the injured by citizens, including Vilén Gabrielian, a member of the board of the 'Civil Contract' party and the director of the Center for Expertise of Medicines and Medical Technologies, and Sargis Aleksanyan, a founding member of the party.
Emergency medical teams from Yerevan’s 1-03 were promptly deployed, along with firefighters and rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The pedestrians and the driver of the Dodge were transported to various hospitals in Yerevan.
In connection with the incident, materials are being prepared by G. Tsarukyan.
The police are investigating the identities of the drivers and the injured pedestrians.
According to the photojournalist, the injured pedestrians are relatives: a mother, her minor son, and another individual.
