Israeli Army Prepares to Conduct Operation in Gaza Strip
The Israeli army is conducting various preparatory works in the Gaza Strip to carry out a ground operation. However, the army has not yet received an order to execute such an operation. This information was reported by RIA Novosti, referencing the spokesperson for the Israeli Defense Forces, Jonathan Conricus.
“The troops of the Gaza division are in different stages of preparation, including directives from the general staff, but an order to execute such an operation has not yet been given. However, military preparatory works are indeed underway,” Conricus stated in response to reporters' questions about the possibility of a ground operation.
It is worth mentioning that significant clashes between Arabs and the police began on the evening of May 8 and continued to spread to the area of the Temple Mount and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The conflict escalated on May 10, when Jews celebrate Jerusalem Day.
