Israeli Actions Are Illegal: Russia Responds

Sergey Vershinin, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, has stated that Israel's actions aimed at changing the status of Jerusalem are illegal and devoid of legal power. This was reported by the 'RIA Novosti' news agency.

He also declared that Russia advocates for Israel to immediately cease settlement activities in the occupied territories. The Deputy Minister pointed out that Russia insists on respecting the status quo of the Holy City. Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry expressed deep concern about the Palestinian-Israeli clashes and the rising tensions recorded in the Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem.
