Will Last Bell Events Be Held or Not? Ministry of Education Sends Circulars to Schools
Last Bell events for graduates from secondary schools will be held across the country; however, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia urges adherence to all safety regulations imposed by the pandemic.
During a press conference at the Armenpress press hall, Acting Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan provided details: “We have already sent the relevant circulars to schools. Considering the epidemic situation, we urge schools to try to organize the event outdoors if possible, limiting the number of participants and ensuring safety regulations are followed,” said Zhanna Andreasyan.
She noted that the recent policy of the ministry is to avoid unnecessary extravagance and to focus more on the significance of the last lesson. Andreasyan also informed that in another circular, schools were warned to refrain from collecting funds related to the Last Bell: “We have already received alerts regarding this process. Once again, I urge everyone to avoid fundraising in any situation. I believe that when we talk about re-evaluating the educational process, it is essential to understand that it is not money that determines the significance of the process,” said Zhanna Andreasyan.
