I Will Not Speak on My Own Behalf, I Will Speak on Behalf of Serzh Sargsyan. MP
Over the past 2 years and 3 months, this parliament has adopted as many bills presented by the opposition as were adopted, for example, over the past 10-15 years, stated Sisak Gabrielyan, a member of the ‘My Step’ faction in the National Assembly.
“During these two years, more bills have been accepted that were presented by the opposition than in the previous 10-15 years. Here, the opposition can naturally counter that there were projects that didn't pass. Yes, respected opposition, there were indeed projects from your side that didn't pass. Summarizing the 7th convocation of parliament, I want to say that there was one important thing for me here: I saw the presence of the people here. Yes, some of us were a bit angry, others were swearing, one was sensitive, another was knowledgeable—this was the overall character that prevailed in parliament,” said Gabrielyan.
Gabrielyan also addressed the issue of justice: “I will not speak on my own behalf; I will speak on behalf of Serzh Sargsyan. Serzh Sargsyan covered up a crime in the Republic of Armenia. Recently, in his interview, in response to the question of why you didn’t arrest anyone when they entered the radio station, he straightforwardly says, ‘Well, it was obvious, there was a crime, but we decided that it was not necessary to do such a thing.’ I wonder why law enforcement agencies have not pursued this statement until now, for who are you to decide whether or not to arrest a person who has committed a crime?”
