Conscription Soldier Artem Melkonyan's Death Leads to Colleague's Arrest

In the case of the death of soldier Artem Melkonyan, a charge has been brought against conscription soldier A.A. under part 3 of Article 373 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (for violating the rules of handling weapons, resulting in the accidental death of an individual) following a comprehensive investigation conducted by the Ninth Military Investigative Division of the Military Investigative Committee of Armenia.

The Investigative Committee has reported that a petition was submitted to the court to apply pre-trial detention as a measure of restraint against the serviceman, which was granted. The pre-trial investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
