Video: Are They Being Built or Not? Nikol Pashinyan's Latest Blunder in Russian
Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has once again become the subject of discussions on social media regarding his proficiency in the Russian language. During a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov yesterday, he stated that "the relations between our countries are of a friendly nature and are not built on the principles of strategic partnership and the brotherly relations between our peoples." However, the statement released by Pashinyan's office indicates that "they are being built."
The video shows the confused expressions of the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Armenia, Sergey Kopirkin, and the press secretary of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
The video was posted on Facebook by a user named Samvel Barseghyan. It is worth noting that Pashinyan has demonstrated in various meetings and speeches that Russian is not a language he masters excellently, yet he persistently continues to use it. For instance, just the day before in the National Assembly, while responding to a question from a deputy, he concluded his speech with the Russian saying "Зарубите себе на носу."
