The Black Lake Mostly Lies in Syunik, the Enemy Should Not Have Occupied It, Says Political Scientist Who Released Map

Political scientist Edgar Elbakyan has published a map on his Facebook page along with a commentary, expressing his opinion that as a result of the illegal "border demarcation" conducted using GPS at the end of last year between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the Black Lake should not have been occupied by the enemy.

“AREAS DIVIDED FROM SYUNIK: As seen from the maps created mainly based on the USSR General Staff and the Google company, the Black Lake located at the junction of Armenia's Syunik region and Artsakh's Kashatagh region is mostly (almost entirely) situated on Syunik's territory. Therefore, as a result of the absurd ‘GPS-based’ de facto illegal ‘border demarcation’ implemented at the end of last year between Azerbaijan and Armenia, it should not have been occupied by the enemy. From this video released by Azerbaijanis (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTsQOWzRdtg) (timestamp: April 30, 2021), it is evident that the Azerbaijanis have completely occupied the area, even penetrating into Syunik.

The reason is clear: Azerbaijan is guided by a policy of maximum expansion (especially in resource-rich areas), while the capitulatory Armenian authorities, led by the capitulating commander, operate under the cowardly principle of ‘let everything go, let’s escape.’ Meanwhile, they also shamelessly deceive the public by claiming that nothing has been conceded from Syunik.

I call on the esteemed representatives of the press to send written inquiries to the relevant bodies of the capitulatory regime on how the enemy ended up in the location mentioned in the video (geographic coordinates: 39°35'51.6" N, 46°14'31.2" E).”
