Conflict Between Son-in-Law and Father-in-Law in AknaLich Ends in Stabbing, Charges Filed Against Father-in-Law

The investigation into a stabbing incident has concluded at the Ararat regional investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee. The circumstances surrounding the serious injury sustained by the victim, a 30-year-old man from the village of AknaLich, and the motive for the attack have been established.

Specifically, it was determined during the investigation that on May 26, 2020, at around 22:10, a dispute regarding family matters erupted between the victim and his father-in-law. During this confrontation, the father-in-law intentionally struck his daughter's husband in the abdomen with a knife he had on him, causing serious harm to his health in the form of a penetrating stab wound.

Based on a sufficient combination of evidence, the father of the 30-year-old man’s wife has been charged with causing intentional serious harm to health, and a signature not to leave has been selected as a preventive measure.

The investigation has concluded, and the criminal case has been sent to court with an accusatory conclusion.
