Accident in Front of Yerevan City Hall
Today, May 2, an accident occurred in Yerevan. At around 5:30 PM, vehicles including a Nissan Teana, a Mercedes, and a Hyundai Elantra collided on Argishti Street, in front of the Yerevan City Hall.
According to shamshyan.com from the scene, preliminary information suggests that fortunately, there were no injuries resulting from the accident. Fire and rescue teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived promptly with 2 firefighting units.
The rescuers disconnected the vehicles' power supply and secured the area. The Yerevan emergency medical service's on-duty team also arrived quickly, but the drivers declined medical assistance, stating that they were not injured.
The head of the Yerevan Traffic Police operational management center, Garik Hakobyan, reported the incident to the 3rd platoon of the 1st police battalion of the Traffic Police, from which senior inspector Arman Sahakyan and inspector Benjamin Arzumanyan responded.
Inspector B. Arzumanyan is preparing materials regarding the accident. The police are determining the identities of the drivers. Representatives from insurance companies also arrived promptly at the scene.
Notification: A suspect or accused in the alleged crime is considered innocent until proven guilty by a legally binding court verdict according to the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia.
