Maybe God's Light Has Descended Upon Him and Opened His Eyes: Hallelujah. Vahe Hakobyan on Sasun Mikayelyan's Statement

Member of the 'My Step' parliamentary group and President of the YECM, Sasun Mikayelyan, announced today during a meeting of the National Assembly's Permanent Committee on Defense and Security that it is unsafe in Syunik; he stood on a road in Syunik where Armenian and Russian peacekeepers were supposed to be present for two hours but saw no one, stating that Turks could easily abduct someone from that area.

In an interview with ArmDaily.am, former Governor of Syunik and President of the 'Reviving Armenia' party, Vahe Hakobyan said that Sasun Mikayelyan should have raised this issue earlier, asking why they have been voicing concerns about it for the past 4-5 months. 'Maybe God's light has descended upon him and opened his eyes—I can interpret it this way. Hallelujah,' said Vahe Hakobyan.

Incidentally, we also tried to contact the members of the 'My Step' parliamentary group, but most did not respond to the calls, and those who did said they did not want to comment on their colleague's statement.
