Lukashenko Has Hidden His Sick Son for Years: Journalists' Investigation

Journalists from Nexta claim that Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has been hiding his first extramarital son with Irina Abelskaya in a specialized facility for individuals with developmental disabilities.

The young man is noted to be the elder brother of Nikolai Lukashenko and a half-brother to Viktor and Dmitri. According to the investigation, Lukashenko's son was born in 2002, but during investigations, it has been revealed that the child has autism and hearing problems. In other words, the boy is deaf and mute.

Lukashenko has not disclosed any information about his newborn son, as it could irreparably harm his political career. Consequently, the Belarusian president decided to move the child to an orphanage, where he received specialized care.

Currently, according to journalists, Lukashenko's son is 18 years old and residing in a psychiatric home for the elderly and disabled in Minsk. Due to developmental disorders, Lukashenko did not give the boy his surname; therefore, he carries his mother’s maiden name, and his name is Matvey Postoyalko.

“Throughout this entire time, no expenses were spared for him. Matvey has had a personal escort, an educator, an individual study room, expensive developmental toys, and has been visited by two ‘grandmas’ who monitored the educational process and brought the child everything needed (food, toys),” the journalists write.

Furthermore, investigators allegedly found out that upon learning of the second pregnancy, Lukashenko beat Abelskaya “to the point of losing consciousness” because he feared that this child could also have developmental disabilities.

According to Nexta, Lukashenko kept the youngest son hidden for a long time until they were convinced that he was completely healthy and that his existence would not damage his image.
