Catholicos Departed for the USA
On April 29, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, departed for the United States on a pastoral visit. During his visit to the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church in America, the esteemed Patriarch will meet with the diocesan bishop and the diocesan council.
His Holiness will also hold discussions with benefactors of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin to review projects supported by them. Additional meetings with various individuals and organizations are planned, during which issues related to the aftermath of the second war in Artsakh and existing challenges will be addressed.
Accompanying the Supreme Patriarch will be His Grace Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, the Papal Legate of Western Europe, and His Grace Archbishop Yeghishe Kchachikian, the leader of the Armenian Diocese of Russia and New Nakhchivan.
By the special directive of the Catholicos of All Armenians, Papal delegate Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan has also traveled to the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church in the USA.
