Arsen Torosyan Aims to Dissolve All Regulatory Bodies Operating in Armenia
The newspaper "Zhoghovourd" reports that Arsen Torosyan, the head of the Armenian government staff, intends to dissolve all regulatory bodies operating in Armenia in the near future, as he has been unable to bring them under control.
Since all regulatory bodies are structures attached to the Prime Minister's office, Torosyan also aims to transfer and merge them with ministries, as was done in the past. Ministers used to work, and then their appointed staff would check the activities of the ministry.
Now, Torosyan aims to get rid of the offices of regulatory bodies and appoint preferred individuals in newly formed supervisory bodies. It remains uncertain how the ambitions of this controversial official will end, but the head of the Prime Minister's office has given the starting signal.
