Six Clubs of Armenia's Premier League Awarded UEFA Licenses

The Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) convened a meeting of the Club Licensing Committee, during which the documentation packages submitted by the clubs "Alashkert", "Ararat", "Ararat-Armenia", "Urartu", "Pyunik", "Noah", and "Shirak" were reviewed to meet the financial criteria for obtaining a UEFA license. This was reported by the official website of the FFA.

"If they obtain the necessary sports qualifications, these licenses will grant them the right to participate in the UEFA club competitions for the 2021/2022 season. The experts of the Licensing Department conducted appropriate checks based on the financial packages presented for review. The results were presented by the head of the Licensing Department and a financial expert.

Based on the conclusions of the specialists and the results of the checks, the Licensing Committee decided to award UEFA licenses to the six candidate clubs. The Licensing Committee unanimously decided not to grant a UEFA license to "Shirak FA" LLC, as the club failed to submit the required documents within the established deadlines.

During the meeting, the issue of granting a license for the UEFA Women’s Champions League was also discussed, allowing women's teams of the clubs to participate in the UEFA Women’s Champions League for the 2021/2022 season, provided they achieve the requisite sports qualifications. Both clubs applying for this license, "Alashkert" FA and "Hayasa" FA, met all the criteria and were awarded the appropriate license," noted the FFA announcement.
