«If we are wolves, then they are not just sheep, but jackals»: Serzh Sargsyan’s new interview

The third president of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, fulfilled his promise with a conversation alongside director and screenwriter Mher Mkrtchyan regarding the events of April 2018 and more.

After the premiere of the film, director Mher Mkrtchyan wrote on his Facebook page: “I wasn’t at the premiere of ‘Power’ by coincidence alongside the third president of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan: I invited him, handed him the invitation, and greeted him in front of the Moscow cinema. One of the characters I created in the film is also that of the president, and I had the opportunity to ask him questions during the viewing. And those questions led to new questions. We agreed to discuss the realities and fictions presented in the film, the power within the film, and the real power, as well as not only about 2018 but about people... I have questions; we all have questions...

We will be filming our conversation. I am not a journalist; our discussion will not be professional in that sense, but it will be sincere.”
