First Death Reported After AstraZeneca Vaccine Administration in Canada

In Quebec, Canada, the first death in the country has been reported following the administration of the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine due to a blood clotting issue. According to RIA Novosti, referencing a local television channel, the blood clotting disorder may have been linked to the vaccination.

In total, there have been six reported cases of clotting-related issues following the vaccine's administration. Officials insist that the benefits of the vaccine outweigh the risks.

The Canadian Ministry of Health approved the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine from the Anglo-Swedish company on February 26. Additionally, vaccines from Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, and Janssen are also being used in the country.

Throughout the pandemic, over 1.19 million people have been infected with the coronavirus in Canada, with more than 24,000 reported deaths.
