WhatsApp Users Should Know: Changes Coming to Messaging Functionality
WhatsApp developers are working on a feature that will automatically delete messages, according to a report by RIA Novosti referencing WABetaInfo.
Users will have the option to have messages automatically deleted 24 hours after sending them. This functionality will be available in both individual and group chats.
Currently, WhatsApp settings allow for automated deletion of messages only after 7 days. Messages will be deleted from both the sender's and receiver's devices.
This feature is still in beta testing and is expected to appear in one of the upcoming updates for the WhatsApp application on Android, iOS, or desktop versions.
