The Ministry Claims the Aliyevs Did Not Photograph in the ‘Sosu Grove’

In response to media reports titled ‘This is the Sosleni Grove: Are the Aliyevs Already Moving Freely in the Syunik Region?’, we announce the following:

The area depicted in the circulated photograph is not part of the ‘Sosu Grove’ state reserve, but rather a continuation of the area where the type of tree known as sosni grows, located along the Zav River valley within Azerbaijan and is not on the territory of Armenia.

The ‘Sosu Grove’ state reserve, covering an area of 64.2 hectares, is situated in the administrative territory of the Inner Hand community in the Syunik region of Armenia, under the protection of the ‘Zangezur’ Biosphere Complex State Non-Commercial Organization.

Prior to the war, work was conducted to install boundary markers along the borders, which have not undergone any changes since. We also present the first boundary marker photograph of the ‘Sosu Grove’ state reserve, which was installed per boundary coordinates at the border between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan before the war, and has not been changed.

We urge everyone to refrain from spreading blatant misinformation and subjecting the public to deliberate informational manipulations.
