Russia Has No Doubts About the Winner of Early Elections in Armenia: 'Zhoghovurd'

The newspaper 'Zhoghovurd' reports: 'All countries in the region are closely monitoring the upcoming elections in Armenia, and Russia, as a key player in the South Caucasus, is no exception. According to our sources, prior to all elections held in Armenia, the Russians conducted their own sociological surveys and public opinion studies, planning their subsequent actions based on that data.

Specifically, last week, Stanislav Pritchin, a researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, made a rather notable statement to the Russian state news agency TASS, from which it became clear that Russian political circles nevertheless believe in Nikol Pashinyan's high probability of victory. Furthermore, according to circulating media reports, about a month ago, highly rated sociologists arrived in Armenia to assess the chances of various figures in the upcoming elections. However, the results of the specialists' studies and surveys have been disappointing for the opposition. All of this makes it clear that there is still no strong opposition in Armenia, which is as unfortunate as the moral and psychological atmosphere that has emerged in the country post-war. Without a strong opposition, it is impossible to achieve success and compel the authorities to work correctly.'
