Neither Armenia nor Artsakh Have Defined Their Approaches to Security Assurance: T. Abrahamyan
In the context of the new realities in Artsakh, there is a need to implement mechanisms for preventing provocations and various actions. This was stated by Tigran Abrahamyan, the head of the 'Henaket' analytical center, on his Facebook page.
“The incidents recorded in recent months are local in nature; however, their frequent occurrence, the incomplete mechanisms of security assurance, and the indifference of the Armenian authorities toward the situation are alarming,” wrote Abrahamyan.
“Neither Armenia nor Artsakh have formulated their approaches to security assurance, consequently, there are no effective measures in place to address the mentioned threats. Economic, social, and humanitarian programs are important, but security issues only take on a primary nature in declarations. There has been no significant progress in addressing the accumulated problems in this direction,” Abrahamyan added.
