Jalal Harutyunyan and Movses Hakobyan Interrogated
According to the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd', 'In the framework of a criminal case being investigated by the Military Investigative Main Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, Andranik Makaryan, Head of the Main Department of Preparedness of the Armed Forces and Deputy Chief of the General Staff, has been charged. According to information received, he is accused of the disappearance of a 60-strong military unit.
According to information from 'Zhoghovurd', Andranik Makaryan was summoned to the Investigative Committee, interrogated, and stated that an error had occurred, the escort was confused and careless, and he also mentioned that he did not give that order independently. In other words, there was a superior order.
However, this is not the end of the matter. Jalal Harutyunyan, former Minister of Defense of Artsakh, and Movses Hakobyan, former Chief of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces, have also been interrogated at the Military Investigative Committee regarding this and other criminal cases, presenting different perspectives.
More details about the aforementioned criminal case are known to 'Zhoghovurd', but these will not be published at this stage to avoid compromising the preliminary investigation.
