Fire Extinguished at Landfill Near Jrvezh Village

On April 27, at 14:07, the Crisis Management National Center received a report that a grassland area near the bridge in Jrvezh village was on fire.

Two fire-rescue teams from the Emergency Situations Ministry’s Yerevan Rescue Department were dispatched to the scene. Subsequently, a ‘1 BIS’ alarm was declared due to the complexity of the fire, and three additional fire-rescue teams from the same department along with the operational group from the Firefighting and Rescue Operations Organization Division were sent to the site.

It was determined that the fire had started at the landfill in Jrvezh village. Approximately 5000 square meters of waste burned. The firefighters managed to contain the fire by 17:52. A duty roster has been established, and follow-up extinguishing work is being conducted.
