Erdogan Claims Over 80% of Armenia's Population Was Muslim a Century Ago

“Perhaps the most important point of Erdogan's speech was: ‘A century ago, in the territory that is now Armenia, over 80 percent of the population were Muslims. Today, hardly anyone remains. You cannot find a large Armenian cemetery anywhere.’

These words are highlighted to remind a simple truth once again: For Turkey and Azerbaijan, the existence of the Armenian state is unacceptable, just as it was in 1918, and therefore our presence here as Armenians is also intolerable.
