Zelensky Ready to Meet with Putin
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has stated that he is determined to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and that the location and timing do not matter to him. For Zelensky, the important factor is the content of the dialogue, as reported by TASS.
At the same time, the Ukrainian President emphasized that he does not accept Putin's demand that he must first meet with the leaders of Donetsk and Luhansk.
"I have no intention of speaking with terrorists, and that is impossible from my position," Zelensky said.
On April 20, he invited Putin to meet in any location in Donbas where the war is ongoing. The Russian president suggested meeting in Moscow. The meeting proposal has been accepted, and Zelensky's office is now verifying the location and time.
The Ukrainian President has assured that he is ready to discuss the status of Russian speakers in Ukraine and that of the Orthodox Church with Putin.
