Sputnik V Vaccine to Be Produced in Turkey

The Russian Direct Investment Fund and the Turkish pharmaceutical company Viscoran İlaç have reached an agreement to produce the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine in Turkey. This was reported by the Anadolu Agency, citing the Turkish company.

The head of the Russian Fund, Kirill Dmitriev, noted that the agreement with Viscoran İlaç aims to expand production capacities and ensure the international supply of the Sputnik V vaccine.

According to Dmitriev, they have signed agreements with leading pharmaceutical companies in Asia, Latin America, Europe, and the CIS, making the Russian vaccine available to residents of more than 60 countries.

The Turkish company stated that in addition to the manufacturing agreement, the licensing process, and distribution issues, a crucial part of the cooperation with Russia also includes the clinical trials of the vaccine, which are progressing successfully.
