Russia's Sputnik V Vaccine Imported to Armenia for 14,000 People
Today, a new batch of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine has been imported to Armenia, intended for 14,000 people (first component). The information was reported by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.
The first batch of the Sputnik V vaccine has also been sent to Artsakh. “In order to stabilize the epidemiological situation of the coronavirus disease in the republic, the acquisition and import of new batches of vaccines continues,” the statement mentioned.
It is noted that on March 28, the first batch of AstraZeneca vaccine against the coronavirus disease was imported to Armenia through the COVAX FACILITY initiative, consisting of 24,000 doses. On April 8, the first batch of the Sputnik V vaccine was imported, comprising 15,000 doses for 7,500 people.
Vaccinations against COVID-19 continue throughout the republic, for at-risk groups in the primary phase, every day of the week.
It should be noted that in Armenia, vaccinations against both other diseases and COVID-19 are carried out solely on a voluntary basis.
