Levon Ter-Petrosyan Issues Statement
The first President of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, has released a statement on Ilur.am, stating: 'Levon Ter-Petrosyan. Expressing concerns about the agenda of upcoming elections, I urge all political forces, the President of Armenia, judges of the Constitutional Court, and especially the factions of the National Assembly 'Prosperous Armenia' and 'Bright Armenia', who have essentially engaged in an unconstitutional agreement with the Prime Minister, to take seriously the claims presented in the article titled "According to the Constitution, the Prime Minister has no right to hold office after resigning" by Edgar Ghazaryan, the former head of the Constitutional Court staff, and the arguments provided in his subsequent publications. If the aforementioned parties disregard these arguments, they will be deemed responsible for conducting the unconstitutional elections scheduled for the near future. The same unconstitutional elections of December 9, 2018, which occurred in the context of an unstoppable popular enthusiasm, cannot be a legal precedent for justifying the agenda of the upcoming elections.'
